Four destinations are open to discussion: Cardiff, the capital, on the south coast; Swansea and the Gower peninsula, about forty miles west; Eryri, also known as Snowdonia, in the north-west; and Tenby with the wider Pembrokeshire coast in the far south-west. Dinner, an event or time outside can be included and stay secondary. I claim no Welsh residence or standing availability, and I hold no property, venue or event affiliation anywhere in the country.
South, West and North
Wales divides more sharply than its size suggests. The south is urban and quick around Cardiff and Newport, then softens into the Gower within the hour.
The west is coast: long beaches, small harbour towns and roads that stop being efficient somewhere past Carmarthen.
The north-west is mountain — Eryri, slate and cloud, with Betws-y-Coed and Llanberis as the usual points of entry. Travelling between north and south takes longer than anyone expects, and the two do not behave alike at all.

A capital on the Severn estuary, a peninsula of empty beaches, a mountain region in the north-west, and a far south-western coast that closes early.
Cardiff
A capital small enough to cross on foot and modern enough not to ask where you are going.
Swansea & Gower
A working city with a bay in front of it, and beyond that a peninsula where the last streetlight gives up entirely.
Eryri / Snowdonia
Slate, cloud and water, arranged by geology into the most persuasive argument for staying indoors that Wales possesses.
Tenby & Pembrokeshire
Painted houses above a tidal harbour, and a coastline that runs out of people long before it runs out of road.
Women and Couples in Wales
Women write from Cardiff hotels mid-week and from cottages on the coast with three days and no plans, and the request underneath is usually the same: unhurried company, entirely out of view.
Couples write from all four destinations. I would like to hear from both of you, to know that it is a shared decision, and to understand anything either of you would rather I knew before dates are discussed.

Your enquiry stays between the two of us. I reply on the method you chose, ask only for what the arrangement needs, and I do not request personal detail that serves no purpose. Access to any hotel, cottage or apartment depends entirely on your own booking and that property's visitor rules. I hold no stadium, event or venue access anywhere in Wales, and I make no claims about privacy technology.
