The Country at Ground Level
Nothing here is trying to look ancient. Serravalle is where most people in San Marino actually live and work: apartment blocks, offices, commercial streets and a good deal of ordinary evening traffic.
Dogana, closest to the border, is the busiest part of it, and the point where the country and Italy simply continue into one another without much announcement.
The old city is a shape on the hill above all this, lit at night, ten minutes away and belonging to another century entirely. Down here the atmosphere is modern and, in its own way, easier.
Why This Side Suits Some People Better
A stay in the lower country is practical: easy arrival, easy parking, larger properties, and no narrow lanes to negotiate at midnight.
The private hours are the same as anywhere else I write about — unhurried, attentive, closed off from everything outside. The surroundings just ask less of you.

Serravalle, Dogana, Falciano and the Road to Rimini
Serravalle is the administrative context for this page; Dogana is a locality inside it rather than a separate municipality, and it is where much of the accommodation and commercial activity sits.
Falciano is a little further along toward the frontier and is useful to mention if that is where you are staying.
The main road down toward Rimini and the Adriatic coast runs from here, which is why arrivals from Italy usually reach the country at this end. San Marino remains a sovereign state on its own side of that road.
There are shops, retail areas and sports and event facilities in this part of the country. They are context for where you might be, not something I arrange: I hold no stadium access, no event credentials, no hospitality arrangements and no federation or venue relationships, and this page is not a shopping guide.

Busy is not the same as private, so the practical work still happens beforehand. I ask which area you are in, the property, your dates and the kind of time you want — nothing more than that, and nothing explicit. Replies go only to the contact method you named.
