You can see Monte Titano from much of this side of the country, standing over everything at a distance. It is a view rather than a plan.
Nothing about this part of San Marino is designed to impress anyone. That is precisely its use.

Fiorentino sits south of the capital and Faetano to the east, both within a short drive of Borgo Maggiore, Serravalle and the old city. Distances inside San Marino are measured in minutes.
Both are castelli, San Marino's own administrative divisions; they are not provinces or counties, and nothing here belongs to Italy.
