A good day here is mostly unplanned: a slow morning, a long afternoon that disappears entirely, an evening outside once the air cools and no reason to end it.
If you are staying in a villa or a country house, most of the time is at home, and it is better for it. That is usually the entire point of writing to me about Provence.

Aix is the region’s civilised centre — plane trees, fountains, a café culture that has survived everything. It is where a Provençal stay usually finds its rhythm.
Beyond the city the countryside opens into vineyards, olive terraces and stone villages, with Montagne Sainte-Victoire on the horizon and the coast an hour south.
When the Season Offers Something
Provence has a serious cultural calendar through the summer, and a wine culture that gives an afternoon somewhere to go if you want one.

Privacy in a Region Built on Distance
Most of Provence is private by geography, and I add to that rather than rely on it. Your enquiry reaches me alone, the plan stays between us, and I ask only for what the days require. Women and couples can describe the atmosphere they want and any boundaries before anything is agreed; nothing beyond that is needed.

- Yes. Aix-en-Provence is the main city of this page and the usual base for a stay, with the countryside, vineyards and villages around it forming the rest.
- Do you meet women and couples in Provence?
- Both. Longer, slower stays here suit couples especially, provided the idea is shared and each of you can say what you are comfortable with beforehand.
- Is the experience mainly private time?
- Yes, and here more than most places. Days at the house, unhurried and undisturbed, are the usual shape of it.
- How is this different from the Luberon?
- The Luberon, including Gordes, is the hilltop-village country north-east of here and has its own page. Provence and Aix are lower, larger and more connected to city life.
- Can a vineyard day or dinner be included?
- It can. A long lunch, an afternoon among the vines or a dinner outside are all easy to add around the private hours. Any tastings are yours to arrange.
- Which months suit Provence best?
- Late spring and September are the most comfortable. July and August are hot and busy but carry the full weight of the cultural season.
- Can a couple arrange private companionship with you here?
- Yes. Couples enquire regularly, and I ask that both of you are genuinely comfortable with the idea. We talk it through beforehand — atmosphere, limits, what you would rather avoid — so nothing is assumed once we meet. Nothing about Provence changes that part of how I work.
- Is the experience mainly private time together?
- It is. The private hours are the experience; the restaurant, the occasion or the journey are simply things that can sit around them. In Provence this is usually settled in a short private exchange before anything is confirmed.

Cannes spends half the year being looked at. The part of it I care about happens once the bay has emptied and the water goes still.

Saint-Tropez in July is a performance. What I arrange happens behind it — later, quieter, and with the doors closed.
