Belgium is small and very quick to cross — an hour from Brussels puts you in most of these places — but it is not uniform in the slightest. It is a federal country of three regions: the Brussels-Capital Region, Flanders in the north and Wallonia in the south, with a German-speaking community in the east. Dutch is spoken in Flanders, French in Wallonia, and Brussels is officially bilingual. The differences in pace and temperament are real and they change how a stay actually feels.

Eight destinations, each with its own page, because where you are staying shapes the arrangement more than anything else you could tell me. Brussels is the deepest of them. It is not automatically the right one — a weekend in Bruges, on the coast at Knokke or out in the Ardennes is an entirely different proposition.

I claim no residence in Belgium, no availability across the country on demand, and no affiliation with any hotel, restaurant, bar, club, venue, boat operator, beach club, golf club, marina, gallery, spa, company, port, university, institution, government body, international organisation or event anywhere in it.

How the Country Divides

Brussels is the flagship and the deepest page here — the capital, its own region, and one of the most international cities in Europe. Formal on the surface, considerably stranger and better underneath it, and full of people staying for work rather than pleasure.

North of it, Flanders. Antwerp is the largest and the most confident: baroque stone, hard modern architecture and a design culture with real weight to it. Ghent is medieval on the outside and entirely contemporary underneath, a city with a pulse. Bruges is the opposite of Ghent by design — smaller, quieter, and almost completely empty after dark. Leuven is small, old and unusually serious, twenty-five minutes from Brussels.

The coast is a single strip facing the North Sea, and Knokke-Heist is the refined end of it: wide sand, hard wind, and villas behind the dunes at Het Zoute.

South, Wallonia, which is a different country in temperament. Namur and Dinant sit on the Meuse between wooded limestone cliffs, slower and French-speaking. Further east, Spa and the Ardennes are forest, rain and distance — the one part of Belgium where people routinely come for three nights rather than one.

Women and Couples

Women write from every destination here — from working weeks in Brussels and Leuven, from weekends in Ghent and Antwerp, from quiet stays in Bruges, from the coast in February and from the Ardennes in the rain. What sits underneath the enquiries is consistent: unhurried attention, entirely out of view, with nothing expected in return but honesty.

Couples are a real part of this and not a footnote. Belgium produces a high proportion of couple enquiries, particularly for Bruges, Knokke-Heist and the Ardennes, where a weekend has a natural shape to it.

What matters is that the decision was made together, calmly, by two people who already talk to each other properly. I would like to hear from both of you: what each of you is curious about, and anything either of you would rather I understood beforehand. Plain language is enough; nothing explicit is needed or wanted.

I am not there to compete with a relationship, to test one, or to become an argument three weeks later. Mutual choice, stated by both people rather than relayed by one, is the only version of this I take on.

What This Is Not

Belgium invites a few particular assumptions, so I would rather be blunt than tactful about all of them.

Brussels is where this matters most. I hold no relationship, contact, credential or access involving the European Commission, the European Parliament, the Council, any EU institution or agency, NATO, the Belgian federal government, the Brussels-Capital, Flemish or Walloon governments, any ministry, embassy, consulate, diplomatic mission or lobbying organisation. Nor any bank, law firm, consultancy or company. There is no institutional dimension to what I do and there never will be.

Elsewhere the same principle applies to whatever the place is known for: no port, shipping or diamond-trade relationships in Antwerp, no boat or heritage access in Bruges, no university affiliation in Ghent or Leuven, no beach club, villa, golf, marina or gallery access in Knokke, no administrative or river-cruise relationships in Namur and Dinant, and no spa privileges, estate access or anything whatsoever to do with Formula 1 at Spa-Francorchamps.

This is also not a chocolate-and-beer tourism site, a nightlife service, a hotel or restaurant directory, or a business-introduction service. I make no claims about the legal status, licensing or regulation of what I do — those are questions for qualified people, not for marketing copy.

And no stereotypes about Belgian women, or lazy caricatures of Flemish or French-speaking Belgians, appear anywhere in what I write. Belgium's linguistic life is a real thing that real people navigate daily; it is not a joke and it is not atmosphere.

How a Belgian Enquiry Is Handled

Belgium is small, compact and full of people who know each other, and that shapes how I work here. Your enquiry comes to me and stays with me. I reply on the channel you chose, ask only for what an arrangement genuinely needs — the destination, the dates, roughly where you are staying, anything you want me to understand — and never for personal detail that serves no purpose. I do not ask about your work, your employer, your institution, your background or your reasons for being in the country. Timing and meeting arrangements are agreed in advance rather than improvised, because these are small cities and improvisation is how people are noticed. Access to any hotel, apartment, serviced property, coastal building or country house depends entirely on your own booking and on that property's visitor policies, access requirements and practical logistics. Couples can state boundaries in advance and they are treated as settled rather than negotiable. I make no claim about anonymity, encryption, guaranteed confidentiality or automatic deletion of anything — what I offer is my own discretion, exercised deliberately and without announcement.

It can, as a secondary addition arranged around the private hours. I hold no restaurant, bar, club, venue, boat, gallery or beach-club relationships anywhere in Belgium, and no guest lists or event credentials.
Do hotel visitor policies matter?
Completely. Any arrangement depends on your own booking and on that property's visitor policies, access requirements and practical logistics. I hold no access to any building in Belgium.
Can I enquire while visiting Brussels for business?
Yes — working stays in Brussels are the single most common arrangement in this country, usually fitting around a free evening. I hold no EU, NATO, government, diplomatic, lobbying, financial, legal or corporate relationships of any kind and make no introductions.
Can coastal or spa stays be discussed?
Yes. Knokke-Heist covers the North Sea coast and Spa and the Ardennes cover the forested south-east. Both suit longer stays, and both are covered as single pages rather than scattered across resort towns.
How early should I enquire?
A week or two suits the cities. Two weeks or more is better for Bruges, coastal weekends and the Ardennes, and any period when a major event fills the local hotels.
Can a couple arrange private companionship with you here?
Yes, couples are welcome. What matters to me is that this is something you chose together. I would rather spend time understanding both perspectives first than arrive with assumptions about either of you. In Belgium this is usually settled in a short private exchange before anything is confirmed.
How do you approach privacy and boundaries?
Quietly. Enquiries stay between us, I ask for nothing beyond what is needed to arrange the time, and anything you would prefer to avoid can be said plainly beforehand. Boundaries are part of the plan, not an interruption to it. Arrangements in Belgium are made the same way, quietly and in advance.
