The Village and the Slopes Above
Zermatt village runs along the valley floor, with hotel and chalet quarters spreading up either side towards Sunnegga, Riffelalp and the Gornergrat line.

- It changes timings more than plans. Arrivals follow the train from Täsch, so I would rather work to the timetable than promise around it.

- Yes. What you are each comfortable with is best said in advance, and what you tell me stays settled.
- Is skiing part of it?
- Only if you want it to be. The mountain is scenery; the arrangement itself is private time.
- Can dinner in the village also be included?
- It can. An early table works well here, and the quieter hours follow it rather than compete with it.
- How discreet can a stay here be?
- Quite discreet, with sensible timing. The village is compact, so quieter hours matter more than distance.
