Resort visitor policies vary considerably and decide what is practical; enquiries are handled privately.
Private Holidays, Not Excursions
The island sells activity; most enquiries I receive here want the opposite. Unhurried private hours, a terrace in the evening, and a week with nothing scheduled in it.
For couples that often means a shared private experience decided at home and arranged long before arrival.
Costa Adeje, Playa del Duque and La Caleta
Costa Adeje in the south-west holds the better hotels, with Playa del Duque as its most refined stretch and La Caleta, a former fishing village, just beyond it.
Los Cristianos lies east along the same coast, while Santa Cruz in the north is the island's actual city. Where you are staying determines everything practical.
Access and Resort Rules
The island is larger than it looks and the north and south are genuinely different worlds, with a mountain between them.
I hold no access to any resort, hotel or private villa here. Guest policies belong to the property, and we plan around them honestly.

Resorts are busy and anonymous, which helps. I keep your enquiry to myself, arrive without drawing attention and ask for nothing beyond dates, location and what you want the time to be. Couples can agree boundaries in advance, and nothing is ever repeated.

- Yes. Couples on a longer stay are the most common enquiry here.
- Can we meet at our resort or villa?
- Subject to that property's visitor rules, which differ widely between resorts and private rentals. Tell me where you are staying and we can check.
- Is this mainly private time?
- Yes. Beaches, excursions and the island's activities sit outside the arrangement unless you want them included.
- Which areas do you consider?
- Costa Adeje, Playa del Duque, La Caleta and Los Cristianos in the south, and Santa Cruz in the north.
- Can both partners discuss boundaries beforehand?
- Yes, and it is the right way to begin. Say what each of you is comfortable with before anything is arranged.
- How far ahead should we write?
- Well ahead for winter holiday weeks, when the island fills. Dates decide what is possible; nothing is guaranteed.
- Can a couple arrange private companionship with you here?
- Yes. Couples enquire regularly, and I ask that both of you are genuinely comfortable with the idea. We talk it through beforehand — atmosphere, limits, what you would rather avoid — so nothing is assumed once we meet. That is true in Tenerife as it is anywhere else I meet people.
- Is the experience mainly private time together?
- It is. The private hours are the experience; the restaurant, the occasion or the journey are simply things that can sit around them. In Tenerife this is usually settled in a short private exchange before anything is confirmed.
