An Eastern State With a Long Memory
Saxony holds some of the most ornate stone in the country and some of its hardest history. The result is a set of cities that are beautiful without being precious about it.
Leipzig is the one covered here: a trading and publishing city for centuries, a musical one for just as long, and now the most creative place in eastern Germany without ever having advertised the fact.
Dresden and the rest of the state sit outside this collection, and I would rather admit that than imply coverage I do not have.

- Leipzig at present. Dresden and the rest of Saxony are not covered, and I would rather say so plainly.

- A week or two is usually comfortable, longer around the larger music and trade weeks when the city fills.
